Hi there! My name is Kristen, but I’ve gone by “Kiki” since I was a kid. You can call me either one! I started this business because I’m very passionate about health and believe strongly in the natural healing power of raw fruits, vegetables and herbs. I know the importance of eating a variety of fruits and vegetables daily and the difference it can make in every aspect of a person’s well-being. I gather the fruits and vegetables from local farms around Colorado. Nothing travels too terribly far, and it’s always fresh from farm to fork!

Local food is not only fresher, but contains far more nutrients and is much better tasting. It spends less time in transit from farm to plate, and therefore, loses fewer nutrients and incurs less spoilage. When you buy from the farmer, you’re buying the most nutrient-rich, vine ripened fruits and vegetables. Most of the produce in the grocery store is picked long before it is actually ripe in order to sit on a shelf for longer amounts of time. They do this so that the unripened produce can withstand the fondling of hundreds of curious fingers every day until ending up in your kitchen. When this happens, the produce hasn’t had the opportunity to grow to it’s full potential and therefore is lacking in nutrients as well as taste. Please do your taste buds a “flavor” and get your produce from a local farm. You can then freeze, can, or dehydrate it for year-round freshness and nutrition. My goal is to provide the freshest produce to communities that need it the most and don’t have farms nearby. If you haven’t already tried the Palisade Peaches and Cherries, Rocky Ford Cantaloupe, Olathe Sweet Corn or the Plump Pueblo Tomatoes, you’re missing out! I provide these popular staples and so much more! Feel free to shoot me an email or a text and ask what’s fresh and in season right now. I will be happy to give you updates on what I have each week and will continue to post these on my Facebook page as well. Next time you’re craving fresh food and friendly conversation, stop by and say hi!
